RBMA Immediate Past President Pete Moffatt takes home association’s top honor
CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. — Pete Moffatt, immediate past president of the Radiology Business Management Association, has taken home the trade group’s top honor.
RBMA on Sunday announced that Moffatt—president of radiology AI coding and consulting firm Reasint Technologies—is the 2026 winner of its prestigious Calhoun Award. Named after Joseph D. Calhoun, MD, a radiologist who guided the first RBMA steering committee in 1968, the award honors outstanding contributions to radiology business management and the association.
Current President Jamie Dyer, MBA, chief outpatient operations officer of Central Oregon Radiology Associates, presented the award during the first day of RBMA’s annual meeting April 12. She called Moffatt an “incredible and dedicated volunteer and one of my favorite humans.”
He has been a member of the association for over 14 years and volunteered for most of that time, including with local chapters and at the committee level. Most recently, Moffatt served as RBMA president for 2024-2025, helping guide the organization as it transitioned to new leadership following the 2024 retirement of longtime executive director Bob Still, Dyer said.
Moffatt called it a “humbling experience” to be listed among some of the notable names who have won the award previously.
“I’m very honored,” he said in an interview after the award presentation on Sunday. “Fourteen years of volunteering for the association is something I’ll look back on fondly. It’s been a heck of a ride, and I would encourage others to get involved, especially if they’re new to the radiology business profession.”
Moffatt, who is based in the Philadelphia area, is leaving the RBMA board after filling a five-year commitment but said he plans to stay involved with the association’s committees and local chapters. He first joined Leawood, Kansas-based Reasint in March 2025 after serving as senior VP of business development at Advocate RCM (now part of Ventra Health).
“I would like to thank all of the people who allowed me contribute to the association along the way—my colleagues, the RBMA staff and those who have also served with me on the board of directors over the last five years," he added. "It’s been one of the highlights of my career."
RBMA’s ninth annual “PaRADigm” meeting runs April 12 to 15 in Championsgate, Florida, at the Omni Orlando Resort, with an estimated 650 radiology business professionals in attendance. You can find a list of previous Calhoun Award winners here.
