RSNA in search of a new editor for RadioGraphics journal
RadioGraphics, the diagnostic radiology journal first launched in 1981, is searching for its next editor. The person selected is expected to officially take over the role in 2021.
RSNA announced this week that it is now accepting applications for the position. The current editor, Jeffrey S. Klein, MD, has been RadioGraphics editor since 2012 and will be stepping down at the end of 2020.
“Dr. Klein will be stepping down from his position as editor. However, his legacy will live on,” RSNA President Valerie P. Jackson, MD, said in a prepared statement. “In launching a search to identify Dr. Klein’s successor, RSNA will look to build on his many accomplishments.”
The responsibilities of the position include developing the journal’s educational mission and editorial policies, soliciting manuscripts, cooperating with the RSNA Board of Directors and more. The editor will be chosen in September 2019. They will then be editor-designate on July 1, 2020, and editor in January 2021.
Applicants can send the appropriate documents, including “vision statements,” to editorsearch@rsna.org.
