A 32-year-old man from Mumbai, India, died on Jan. 27 after being sucked into an MRI while holding a metallic oxygen cylinder in his hand. Three BYL Nair Municipal Hospital employees have been arrested.

Reports state that Maru was told to assist the staff in helping position Solanki while holding the cylinder in his hands. Reportedly, his hand got stuck in the MRI. Though family and staff tried to pull him out of the MRI, he died instantly due to a collapsed lung.

Hospital staff has provided security camera footage to authorities and the government has compensated Maru’s family.
