Toshiba Medical’s Vantage Galan 3T MR Delivers Fast, Accurate Results

TUSTIN, Calif., April 20, 2017 – Offering a full range of advanced clinical applications for researchers, Toshiba Medical will demonstrate its most advanced MR technology, the Vantage GalanTM 3T, at this year’s International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) 2017 annual meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, April 22–27, 2017 (Booth #401).

With advanced applications that include neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, cardiovascular, breast and prostate, the Vantage Galan 3T is designed to increase signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by up to 20 percent, allowing for faster sampling and higher resolution images thanks to PURERF and Saturn technologies. This, combined with the ability to stack protocol sequences, results in quick neuro exams. The Vantage Galan 3T enhances diagnostic confidence with new advanced clinical applications and helps make exams easy to perform with EasyTech workflow solutions, which streamline positioning and scanning. Additionally, the system offers non-contrast MRA sequences and makes scanning even more quiet with Pianissimo™ Zen technology that reduces sound during acquisition by 99 percent*.

“We designed the Vantage Galan 3T to help improve the physician experience with faster MR exams and address the challenges with 3T MR by making complex exams easier to perform,” said Dominic Smith, senior director, CT, PET/CT, and MR Business Units, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. “With the Vantage Galan 3T, we continue the practice of providing innovative MR systems to meet the needs of the research community.”

Toshiba Medical will be sponsoring a Lunch Symposium on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Plenary Hall in the Hawaii Convention Center, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. HST, with lectures on diffusion MRI and advanced MSK techniques at 3T.
