SNMMI concerned about oncology coverage guidelines

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging expressed their concern with an updated list of oncology coding recommendations released by eviCore, a benefits management company.

SNMMI will continue to follow the issue and is working with patient advocay groups to formulate a response.

The ACR hopes these changes, including the addition of diagnostic performance feedback, will help reduce the number of patients with incidental nodules lost to follow-up each year.
