Arkansas breast center recovers from fire—and then some

A breast imaging facility damaged by fire in December 2015 has reopened its doors after operating since last winter in a temporary space. A TV station local to the area, Northwest Arkansas, has covered the happy occasion.

“The silver lining was that, out of the fire, we were able to get some new, up-to-date equipment,” including a 3D mammography machine, radiologist Kevin Pope, MD, tells Fox24 News of Fayetteville.

“Sometimes things that … you think are going to be bad actually turn out to be a blessing,” Pope adds, “so we’re looking forward to a good future.”
