CIVIE expanding its teleradiology footprint in Midwest
CIVIE is expanding its footprint in the Midwest, recently inking a deal to provide its services to Riverside Healthcare across five counties in Illinois.
A leading provider in teleradiology solutions, CIVIE offers organizations access to 24/7 remote reads integrated with unified PACS and AI-enabled workflows. Riverside Healthcare, which provides radiology services to six different locations throughout Kankakee, Illinois, is turning to CIVIE to integrate the company’s teleradiology services via its RadPod platform.
RadPod—described as the “Uber of Radiology”—allows radiologists to work from wherever they want, whenever they choose, and to be paid for their interpretations nearly instantly. The platform helps address two issues: hospitals’ growing demand for imaging interpretations in the face of radiologist shortages, and readers’ desire for autonomy, flexibility and work-life balance. Reports from some of the current users of the platform have suggested that access to RadPod services has reduced turnaround times from 24 hours in some cases down to just 8 minutes.
In a Jan 6 announcement on the partnership, Riverside Healthcare President of Operations Benjamin McLain, signaled that the organization also has seen a positive impact on its workflows since deploying CIVIE’s services.
“The addition of RadPod has significantly improved the quality of the radiologist interpretations while also cutting down the average turnaround times for reading those images,” McLain noted.
“This relationship has truly blossomed into a partnership, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the Riverside team to further improve and scale operations for the highest-quality patient care across Illinois," added Dhruv Chopra, CEO of CIVIE.
