MEDNAX acquires Bethesda Radiology Associates

MEDNAX has announced the acquisition of Boynton Beach, Florida-based Bethesda Radiology Associates. The practice will be integrated with Radiology Associates of South Florida, another MEDNAX-affiliated practice based out of Miami.

Bethesda Radiology Associates specializes in vascular radiology, interventional radiology, breast imaging, neuroradiology diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine, providing services to Bethesda Hospital East, Bethesda Hospital West and other area providers.

“We are excited to join MEDNAX and our colleagues at Radiology Associates of South Florida in bringing unified radiology services to Baptist Health’s patients stretching from Miami-Dade County to Palm Beach County,” Lane Deyoe, MD, president of Bethesda Radiology Associates, said in a prepared statement. “We believe this partnership will further the established goals at the outset of the merger of Bethesda Health into Baptist Health.”

This cash transaction is MEDNAX's ninth radiology practice acquisition this year. Once the acquisition is final, the company’s team of more than 750 radiologists will read more than 11.5 million studies per year.
