Data Discrepancies Leave Insured at Risk in Georgia

More than 20,000 insured Georgians have until this Friday to provide missing information to their health insurance exchange (HIX) plan or they will lose their coverage on September 30. According to Georgia Health News, letters totalling more than 310,000 were mailed to insured individuals in three states last month, requesting additional information to continue coverage. Georgia reported the highest number of such requests that were mailed out. Most of the requests were regarding immigration or citizenship issues.

The ACR hopes these changes, including the addition of diagnostic performance feedback, will help reduce the number of patients with incidental nodules lost to follow-up each year.

And it can do so with almost 100% accuracy as a first reader, according to a new large-scale analysis.
