Laurel Bridge Software partners with radiology consortium

Laurel Bridge Software has partnered with nationwide imaging consortium Strategic Radiology to offer preferred access to imaging workflow, archiving, and consolidation solutions. Individual members of Strategic Radiology have utilized Laurel Bridge software, and the Delaware-based company is looking forward to implementing their solutions nationwide, explained Laurel Bridge CEO Mark Blair. “By considering the Strategic Radiology member network as their unique imaging enterprise, we can help identify opportunities for them to leverage our centralized, scalable solutions for medical image ingestion, routing and retrieval,” he said in a press release. The enterprise imaging software underwent a major upgrade over the summer, adding HL7 message routing, non-DICOM file transport, and integration with dictation systems. Strategic Radiology is made up of 26 radiology practices across the United States, representing over 1,400 radiologists. Member institutions share data and best practices, clinical practice information is exchanged, and certain expenses are consolidated.
"We are always looking for opportunities to improve clinical quality and deliver our services in a more cost-efficient manner", notes Arl Van Moore, Jr. MD, Strategic Radiology Chairman. "We believe that Laurel Bridge enterprise imaging workflow solutions will enable our members to achieve these goals individually and collectively, by enabling us to meet the unique and evolving imaging needs of our customers."
