Radiology Partners moving its headquarters to Nashville
The country’s largest radiology group is moving its headquarters from Southern California to Nashville, Tennessee.
Radiology Partners announced the move on Monday but could not offer a timeline, address or further details as of yet. The organization currently rents offices at 2330 Utah Avenue, Suite 200, in the coastal, Los Angeles County community of El Segundo.
RP said its relocation “reflects the strategic importance of being closer to many health system clients and partners, as well as being in the heart of the nation’s most dynamic healthcare hub.”
“Nashville is a recognized center for healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship and policy,” CEO and Board Chair Rich Whitney, MBA, said in a statement Aug. 4. “It offers proximity to many of our partners, access to top healthcare talent and a strong ecosystem for collaboration. We’re excited about the opportunities this transition unlocks for our teams, clients and the communities we serve.”
An RP representative would not disclose which clients are headquartered in the same city. The Nashville area is home to nearly 900 healthcare organizations, such as HCA Healthcare, the country’s largest hospital system; Community Health Systems, another large acute care operator; and Envision Healthcare. The latter is a multispecialty physician group that recently exited medical imaging, with 400 of its radiologists joining Rad Partners.
RP employs approximately 4,000 physicians scattered across affiliated practices throughout the U.S. A representative could not say how many employees will work out of the new Nashville offices. The organization’s recently launched Mosaic Clinical Technologies division also will operate out of the Music City, according to the announcement. Rad Partners said it plans to share further details once the move is finalized.
“While headquarters will shift to Nashville, RP and Mosaic Clinical Technologies will continue operating in a distributed model with strong local market leadership and a patient care focus,” the announcement noted. “RP will maintain a presence in select locations across the country to support specific operational needs.”
Founded in 2012, Rad Partners is backed by private equity firm Whistler Capital Partners and venture capital group New Enterprise Associates, servicing over 3,400 sites across the U.S.
