Volpara Solutions, Premier reach three-year agreement

Volpara Solutions, the breast imaging technology company, has announced a new agreement with the Premier healthcare alliance.

The three-year deal gives Premier members special pricing on Volpara Solutions’ full suite of breast imaging products, including VolparaDensity. VolparaDensity is used by radiologists to assess breast density from digital mammography images and evaluate if additional screening should be recommended.

“Over the years, Premier has shown tremendous commitment to improving access to advances in women’s healthcare and we are pleased to work with them to make Volpara’s volumetric breast density assessment and quantitative breast imaging software tools immediately available to Premier members,” Ralph Highnam, PhD, Volpara Solutions CEO, said in a statement. “With extensive scientific validation and broad clinical use, VolparaDensity gives users a powerful tool to consistently provide accurate breast density information to help improve breast screening, particularly for women with dense breasts.”

It’s been a busy fall season for Premier, as RadiologyBusiness.com already reported on purchasing deals the company recently made with both Del Medical and Kubtec.
