IRadimed Corporation, a Winter Springs, Fla.-based developer and manufacturer of MRI-related products, announced its fourth quarter 2015 financial results this week. 

In its first earnings report of the year, Mallinckrodt saw adjusted earnings of $2.09 per share in the first quarter of 2016, an increase of nearly 17 percent year-over-year. Net sales for the quarter were reported at $915 million, up 20 percent from the previous year.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida recently announced that Tampa, Fla.-based Rose Radiology Centers had agreed to pay $8.71 million to the government to resolve several different allegations. Now, Rose Radiology has issued a prepared statement on the settlement, offering the practice’s perspective on the situation.

Radiologist Albert R. Cowie, MD, of Amherst, N.Y., has pleaded guilty to obtaining controlled substances by fraud and healthcare fraud. 

Thomas F. Stephenson, MD, the New York radiologist who pleaded guilty to healthcare fraud last year, has been sentenced to one year of probation.

Hologic reported revenue of $695.2 million in Q1 in its first fiscal report of 2016, an increase of 6.5 percent on a reported basis and 8.1 percent on a constant currency basis.
