FDA clears new version of SOMATOM Force CT system from Siemens Healthineers
On Friday, April 13, the FDA approved the latest version of the SOMATOM Force, a dual source CT system from Siemens Healthineers.
The new system includes a Fully Assisting Scanner Technologies (FAST) Integrated Workflow that uses a 3D camera along with artificial intelligence and deep learning to ensure precise patient positioning.
Additionally, the SOMATOM Force includes iterative metal artifact reduction, which allows users to greatly reduce artifacts caused by metal implants, artificial joints or pacemakers.
