RSNA readying ‘launchpad’ to help innovators take flight with fresh ideas
The Radiological Society of North America is launching a new platform aimed at advancing the latest science and technology in the field of radiology.
The society announced the rollout of RSNA Ventures on Thursday, highlighting the subsidiary’s potential for bringing researchers’ ideas to fruition in clinical settings. Ventures will serve as a hub for academic institutions, developers and industry leaders looking to drive meaningful innovation in radiology.
Ventures will assist in initiating contact between each of these groups through RSNA’s vast network, which includes more than 50,000 members from across 160 countries. RSNA says Ventures welcomes collaborations from all stakeholders, including startups and investors. It is RSNA’s hope that Ventures will give experts the tools they need to develop solutions to some of radiology’s most pressing problems.
“RSNA Ventures represents a bold step forward in our commitment to transforming radiology,” RSNA Executive Director Mark G. Watson said in an announcement. “By creating a dedicated vehicle for innovation, we can explore forward-thinking solutions to meet the evolving needs of radiologists, while reinvesting in and maintaining our commitment to RSNA’s core mission.”
“We see RSNA Ventures as a launchpad—not just for new ideas, but for meaningful impact,” added Jeffrey S. Klein, MD, RSNA Chair. “By combining RSNA’s expertise, credibility and reach with the agility of a startup-minded approach, we’re uniquely positioned to drive innovation that matters.”
