New Mexico hospital names imaging department after long-serving radiologist

Commissioners at Lincoln County Medical Center in Ruidoso, New Mexico, showed their appreciation for Don Wolfel, MD, by naming its imaging department after the 26-year veteran.

After retiring June 14, Wolfel was honored in a naming ceremony July 3.

“We all wish Dr. Wolfel well in his retirement,” said Todd Oberheu, LCMC’s chief executive. “Losing a person like Dr. Wolfel from the medical profession will be felt by everyone involved in healthcare in Lincoln County.
