Professional Radiology, Inc Aligns with the Strategic Radiology national consortium

Strategic Radiology® (SR) announced today that Professional Radiology, Inc. (PRI) of Cincinnati, OH has joined forces with the SR network of progressive, independent radiology groups geographically dispersed throughout the US. Through this alignment, PRI will now have access to collective resources in all aspects of radiology practice operations, patient safety, clinical quality, and deployment of subspecialized radiology services. PRI’s decision to affiliate with SR supports the latter organization’s mission to enable radiology groups of all shapes and sizes to collaborate in gaining operational efficiencies and advancing clinical quality on a national scale.

“We’re thrilled to have Professional Radiology, Inc. join the ranks of Strategic Radiology and expand the organization’s expertise and industry leadership in Ohio and nationally,” said SR CEO Arl Van Moore, Jr, MD, FACR. “PRI serves as a market leader and its long history of success within the greater Cincinnati healthcare community will obviously strengthen our knowledge base across the SR collective.”

Through affiliation with SR, groups can gain value for their practice and hospital partners in many ways, including participation in the SR Patient Safety Organization (PSO), the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), SR Subspecialty Teleradiology Partners (SR-STP) collaborative national reading pool, and SR forums in which they can interact with their peers on both business operations and quality discussions. These products have been proven to bring value back to existing SR member groups that ultimately benefit the patients, physicians, and hospitals that put their trust in them.

“We have been watching SR’s evolution over the last several years and decided that the time is right for us to align with the cadre of nationally recognized practices that make up this mission based collaborative,” said Shawn S. Reinhart, MD, president and CEO of PRI. “We are excited to leverage the SR resources now available to PRI’s physicians and leadership team to support our practice in effectively adapting to the rapidly changing healthcare landscape happening in Ohio and across the country.”
