RSNA offering new AI courses in San Francisco, Paris

RSNA has announced two new educational courses focused on AI, including the first RSNA Spotlight course to be hosted in the United States.

“Radiology in the Age of AI,” a two-day course, will take place May 31 in San Francisco, California. Two keynote speakers and numerous industry thought leaders are scheduled to appear and speak with attendees about what AI means for clinical practice going forward.

“As radiologists move beyond fear of job displacement and into the 'show me' phase, this course provides the information they need to make decisions about the adoption of AI technology,” Curtis P. Langlotz, MD, PhD, RSNA board liaison for informatics, said in a prepared statement.

RSNA’s other new AI course, “Comprehensive AI for Practicing Radiologists,” will take play May 3 in Paris, France. All instructions will be in English. The two-day course is being given under the direction of Nabile M. Safdar, MD, MPH, associate CMIO at Emory Healthcare and vice chair of informatics in the department of radiology and imaging sciences at Emory University.

“This course gives radiologists the foundation to truly understand what applying AI in their clinical practice means,” Safdar said in the prepared statement.
