Radiologists across the country had pushed for a 2020 offering of online testing. However, the Tucson, Arizona-based doc-certification group noted that it could not start with the transition until next year.

A team of Michigan Medicine experts spelled out some of their concerns in a new opinion piece, published in JACR.

She'll take over the role “effective immediately,” and oversee the Rochester, New York-based firm’s imaging, nondestructive testing and dental businesses in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. 

“Whether we acknowledge it or not, we are shaping the culture of our departments for years to come," experts wrote in Academic Radiology. 

Evelyn Carroll, MD, said she recently brought her "authentic self to work for the first time" at the Minnesota-based institution. 

The discussion comes following intense pressure from numerous imaging interest groups, who last week implored the ABR to offer alternatives during the pandemic. 

CEO Jim Rechtin said such actions will include “reinvigorating” the Nashville physician firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and creating a plan within the next 60 days to promote change in its service areas. 

HR professionals’ duties will include everything from contacting furloughed employees to delegating screening tasks.
