Solis Mammography opens 4 new imaging centers
Solis Mammography has launched four new imaging centers in recent months as it continues to expand.
The breast imaging provider announced the latest openings on Monday, with new centers in Houston and Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Solis Mammography said the latter is in partnership with Jefferson Health, a leading academic health system spanning New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
This marks the 18th joint-venture center for the two organizations in the Keystone State, with Solis now operating over 160 locations across two dozen major markets.
“This collaboration builds on Jefferson Health’s strong foundation and enables us to further expand access to high-quality breast care throughout the region,” Lisa Ashby, CEO of Addison, Texas-based Solis since February, said in a statement May 11.
Located in suburban Philadelphia, the center will offer 3D mammography powered by artificial intelligence for earlier cancer detection. It also will offer SmartCurve imaging, using a curved paddle to increase comfort during exams. Same for Solis Mammography’s other newest location in Texas, opening in partnership with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the largest hospital system in the U.S. This marks the imaging provider’s 28th center in greater Houston, with the latest located in the city’s Sawyer Heights area.
Solis said the center also will offer Mammo+Heart, an extra-charge service that uses AI to detect breast arterial calcification, which can signal increased risk of cardiovascular disease. The company also touted other patient perks such as a “warm and welcoming” environment, quick appointments, walk-in availability and results in two to three business days.
Finaly, Solis Mammography also announced the opening of two additional Texas imaging centers in March. One is in the Austin, Texas, suburb of Pflugerville, in partnership with St. David’s HealthCare. The other is in Corpus Christi, a coastal city in south Texas, and is opening through a new strategic partnership with the Corpus Christi Medical Center.
“By integrating their specialized breast imaging expertise with our broader health system, we’re creating a more seamless path for women to receive timely, advanced screening and diagnostic services,” David Irizarry, CEO of the hospital, said in a statement.
Founded in 1986, Solis Mammography is backed by private equity firm TowerBrook Capital, which bought a controlling stake in the company from Madison Dearborn Partners 1 year ago.
