Webinar: Imaging leaders explore how to expand AI automation in clinical practice

As the presence of artificial intelligence continues to grow in radiology, imaging leaders are looking for ways to get more value from their AI investments.

Radiology Business is offering an opportunity for leaders to do just that by attending our upcoming webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. During the video and live Q&A session, sponsored by AbbaDox, leaders can gain insight into how others have successfully moved beyond isolated automation tools to more streamlined workflows. Imaging operators who have implemented these strategies will share how they've successfully integrated AI into real-world practice to automate radiology workflows, from order intake through patient follow-up.

The session will explore how speakers are actively using AI to reduce administrative burden, improve scheduling efficiency, prevent missed follow-up exams and generate additional revenue while keeping staff involved in complex patient interactions. Stacy Butler of SouthCoast Health will share how her team expanded AI automation from screening mammography and DEXA to most ultrasound, CT and MR scheduling protocols within four months. Raul Arizpe of Desert Imaging also will discuss how tracking follow-up recommendations has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue since January while helping close gaps in patient care.

Additionally, speakers will explore how to measure staff time savings, establish closed-loop processes for tracking follow-up recommendations and incidental findings across modalities, and determine which tasks are most appropriate for automation. The webinar also will address implementation challenges, like cost, staffing capacity, change management and the need to document informal or legacy scheduling rules. Attendees will gain practical guidance on where to begin, which processes require human oversight and how to bring staff and referring physicians along as automation expands.

The session is designed for imaging center executives and owners, operations leaders, radiology managers, information technology leaders and radiologists interested in improving operational efficiency and patient care through AI.
