RSNA Announces New Leaders

The Radiological Society of North America’s new president, George S. Bisset III, M.D., says he wants to improve member benefits through more interactive forms of education, according to an RSNA press release. The organization announced the makeup of its new Board of Directors at the RSNA 2011 annual meeting in Chicago. Dr. Bisset is the chief of pediatric radiology at Texas Children's Hospital and a professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has also authored or co-authored more than 20 books and nearly 200 scientific papers. Chosen as president-elect was Sarah S. Donaldson, M.D., a professor of radiation oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif. N. Reed Dunnick, M.D., was named chairman. Dr. Dunnick is a professor and chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he has been since 1992. The newest member of the RSNA board, Vijay M. Rao, M.D., is a global authority on head and neck imaging.
