vRad Announces New Chief Financial Officer, John Way

Virtual Radiologic (vRad) named John Way as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Way will oversee all financial, treasury, accounting and planning/analysis functions at vRad. He previously served as CFO for three UnitedHealth Group businesses - Optum Collaborative Care, Secure-Horizons, and OptumHealth. At Optum Collaborative Care, Way was responsible for the financial functions, business development and acquisition integration, and was a key member of the leadership team that built the business, driving significant growth for Optum, a $30B division of UnitedHealth Group. "John has a long, successful history of managing the progressive growth of large scale healthcare businesses. We're excited to bring his talent and leadership skills to our organization," said George Morgan, vRad's CEO, in a press release. vRad is one of the largest U.S. teleradiology practices with more than 400 radiologists serving over 2,700 facilities.
