Ohio hospital’s longtime director of radiology dies from coronavirus
Jeannie Danker, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s director of radiology, died on Sunday due to complications from COVID-19. She was 60 years old.
A resident of Ohio’s Delaware County, Danker served as director of imaging services since 1986, according to her LinkedIn page.
"We are deeply saddened to share we have lost a beloved colleague to COVID-19, according to her family,” the medical center said in a statement distributed to local news outlets. “We will miss her friendship as well as her leadership and commitment to our institution, where she spent more than 30 years of her career.”
Two other healthcare workers in Ohio have also died from coronavirus, according to its department of health. As of Tuesday morning, the state had 1,933 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 40 deaths.
