Hill joins Medical College of Wisconsin radiology leadership team

Gregory Q. Hill, JD, has accepted the position as Medical College of Wisconsin Radiology department administrator.

Hill formerly served as CEO of Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA), Peoria, where he was the lead non-physician administrator since 2002. He also was adjunct associate professor of radiology, University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. With 70 FTE radiologists, CIRA ranked number 16 on the Radiology Business Journal's list of the 100 Largest Radiology Private Practices in the U.S.

Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is anchored by Froedtert Hospital, a 500-bed Level I trauma center that has appeared in U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's top 50 hospitals in four specialties. Eighty faculty members perform nearly 500,000 procedures annually.

Hill will manage a budget of $49.3 million and has seven direct reports and 45 staff.  The Medical College of Wisconsin radiology leadership team includes newly appointed chair Vincent P. Mathews, MD; William S. Rilling, MD, vice chair, clinical affairs; Mark D. Hohenwalter, MD, vice chair, education; and Kathleen M. Schmainda, PhD, vice chair, research.

The appointment of Mathews as the James E. Youker Professor and Chairman of Radiology was announced last spring, but he joined the organization on February 1. Mathews, a neuroradiologist whose research focuses on functional MRI of the brain, most recently served as professor of radiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and CEO of Northwest Radiology Network.
