Strategic Radiology hires industry veteran from billing firm Zotec Partners to fill C-suite role

Strategic Radiology has hired an industry veteran from billing firm Zotech Partners to fill a key C-suite role, leaders announced Wednesday.

Greg Thomson, CPA, joins the independent practice coalition as chief operating officer, bringing more than 30 years of experience in practice management, M&A issues and revenue cycle optimization. He replaces Barbara Perez Deppman, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Thomson most recently served as senior VP of practice management at Carmel, Indiana-headquartered Zotec, helping the division grow to one of the largest players in this space, according to Strategic Radiology. He also held leadership roles at CBIZ Medical Management Professionals and led practice mergers for Per Se Technologies.

“We are fortunate to have found a new chief operations officer with the skill, experience and talent required to develop, implement and operationalize programs and policy for our busy and growing organization,” Strategic Radiology CEO and Chair Scott Bundy, MD, said in an announcement.
