Indiana imaging group joins Strategic Radiology’s independent practice coalition

An Indiana imaging group is joining Strategic Radiology’s coalition of independent practices.

Evansville Radiology marks the 49th member added to its roster and fifth in the Hoosier State. The practice employs 23 physicians, all of whom live around Vanderburgh County in the vicinity of Indiana’s third largest city.

Founded in 2009, Strategic Radiology offers privately owned imaging groups the opportunity to collaborate and realize some of the benefits of consolidation without the headaches.

“Joining Strategic Radiology allows our practice to collaborate with peers who share our commitment to independence, quality and continuous improvement,” M. Adam Hubbard, MD, president of Evansville Radiology, said in a statement Jan. 30. “We see membership as an opportunity to exchange best practices, strengthen our operations, and ensure we remain well-positioned to serve patients and healthcare partners in a rapidly evolving environment.”

Evansville Radiology provides comprehensive radiology coverage to hospitals and outpatient imaging centers across southern Indiana and the surrounding tristate area that includes Illinois and Kentucky. It services the Evansville-based Deaconess Health System, which has approximately 20 hospitals and treats a population of over 1.5 million. Evansville Radiology physicians are actively engaged, taking part in numerous committees and conferences. These include the Medical Executive Council and committees related to quality assurance, trauma and radiation safety, and multiple cancer-focused conferences.

Strategic Radiology also highlighted the practice’s deep commitment and active involvement in local initiatives, education and public service aimed at supporting its community. Evansville Radiology’s strong leadership reflects its “commitment to accountability, teamwork and advancing patient care,” the coalition said.

“Evansville Radiology brings both scale and depth to the Strategic Radiology coalition,” Scott Bundy, MD, CEO of Strategic Radiology and a physician with member practice Radiology Associates of North Texas, said in the announcement. “Their 23-physician team offers a broad range of subspecialty expertise while remaining deeply connected to the communities they serve.”
